Top Glaciers (“Lambert”, “we”) operates the website cremeglaceelambert.ca. We take the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Person responsible for the protection of personal information
Top Glaciers is responsible for protecting the personal information it holds. For any question, request or complaint about your personal information, email us at web@cremeglaceelambert.ca.
Information we collect
We only collect the information needed for the purposes described below:
- Contact form: your name, email address, and the subject and content of your message.
- Technical information: when you visit the site, your IP address, browser type and the pages you view may be recorded automatically by our web host and security tools.
We do not use audience analytics or targeted advertising tools on this site, and we never sell your personal information.
How we use your information
- To answer questions and requests sent through the contact form;
- To keep the site secure and working properly (preventing spam and cyberattacks);
- To meet our legal obligations.
By sending us your information, you consent to its use for these purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.
Cookies and third-party services
The site uses a limited number of cookies and external services:
- Essential cookies: to remember your language choice (French or English) and keep the site secure.
- Pop-ups: a cookie may be used so a pop-up you have already closed is not shown again.
- Instagram feed: some pages display our Instagram posts, which may connect your browser to Meta (Instagram) servers.
- Google Fonts: some fonts may be loaded from Google’s servers, which then receive your IP address.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may then not work properly.
Disclosure and storage outside Quebec
Your information may be stored or processed by our service providers (hosting, security, backups and the third-party services listed above), some of which may be located outside Quebec, including in the United States. We choose providers that offer an adequate level of protection.
Retention and security
We keep your information only as long as needed to answer your request or meet our legal obligations, then destroy it securely. We take reasonable measures (secure HTTPS connection, firewall, restricted access) to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent or ask that it be deleted;
- request that it be transferred to you in a structured, commonly used technological format.
To exercise your rights, email us at web@cremeglaceelambert.ca. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
